Captains Log
Stardate September 17 - 19

Elliott Bay Marina

Let it RAIN it won't stop our parade!

Did we have FUN or what?  Joe and Liz Ahladis are always a ton of fun but put them in the role of cruise captains and the party begins.

Joe and Liz arranged golf on Saturday morning at the Interbay golf course.  Jeff did the sundance long enough for the golfers to finish a round and get back to the marina, everybody's 19th hole.

Elliott Bay Marina is great, don't bother cooking on these cruises, Maggies Bluff restaurant makes a great Galley, no dishes!  Leave it to this club when it comes to eating and drinking, we are the best!

Saturday nite was burgers and brats and a pot luck of side dishes to die for.  Joe had the grill fired up and Liz; well Liz is always fired up.  And fired up she was with the after dinner games.  Just imagine a room full of adults jumping around like Easter bunnies with beach balls between their knees.  Gilda Ignacio proved she is the best.  That girl can move, really move, with a beach ball between her knees.

Thanx to Denise Towne for arranging SRCC to be the guests of Don Filer and SYC at their Elliott Bay outstation.  What a great facility for our Saturday evening dinner.  Thanx bunch!

This dinner turned into somewhat of an awards banquet.  This award is for outrageous seamanship.  I'm not sure whether Jim Hobbs had too much time on his hands or if I was really deserving of the new deck shoes. Not only can I use these deck shoes while boating but I can also ski with them.  A picture is worth a thousand words, I'm not sure words can explain this. Pictures and monologue will follow.

What goes around comes around.
Since Jeff Ashley was temporarily out of the sundance business on Saturday due to rain squalls he decided, no we decided he would go dinghy shopping.  SUCCESS Jeff and Karen have a new dinghy, it already has a name "Tippy Canoe".  Rest of the story, Jeff bought my dinghy, yah you know the one that I tipped over in a no wake zone.  Karen is overjoyed!  She is already planning a dinghy race in rough seas.  First prize is, my head!

Now for the best part another award!

THE RUBBER DUCK   yep the same duck that has spent the better part of its life in my boat, HAS A NEW HOME!  It had a short stay on the Attitude Adjustment only 3 weeks this time.  New member Judy Chapman aboard "Liquid Asset" took the plunge.  After we determined Judy was ok, there was no mercy she had the duck in her hot little hand.

Saturday afternoon DINGHY TRIP to the observation platform to see Mark and Suzanne Daymond off to Alaska.  The Daymonds, their inlaws and a few outlaws thrown in, are doing a cruising family reunion.  Just imagine all your relatives for 1 week aboard a ship?!  Mark will be scoping out all the bars and casinos before the ship is underway.
